Bree Walker

With the ultimate goal of representing Australia on the world stage, in 2016, Bree googled whether Australia had a Bobsleigh team. At the time, the team was inactive and undergoing a revamp. Bree signed up for the Talent Identification Camp, where she achieved the standards and was sent overseas to learn how to drive a bobsled.

After qualifying for the 2018 Winter Olympics, the National Federation at the time did not nominate them to compete. Undeterred, she set out to make sure she would be at the next Olympics in 2022.

Bree has become one of the fastest bobsleigh pilots in the world and with her driving talent, has achieved multiple podium finishes on the World Cup stage. Since the inclusion of Monobob at the Olympic level and the World Cup circuit Bree has won 7 gold medals. Over the last Olympic 2021/22 season, Bree finished with multiple World Cup medals, achieved multiple overall podium World Ranking positions and also finished 5th at the 2022 Winter Olympics – the highest finish ever for an Australian Bobsledder at the Games.

Bree is passionate in sharing her journey and love for the sport and strongly encourages females to be fearless with their dreams.

An outstanding and consistent season in 2023/24 ended on a high with Bree taking the top step of the podium in the final World Cup event of the season in Lake Placid. That gold medal has stoked the fires for more success as she came out all guns firing in 2024/25 claiming two World Cup wins in Lillehammer and finishing second overall in the Crystal Globe for 2025. She heads into the 2025/26 season looking to seal a place on the Australian Olympic team for 2026 where she will be a genuine medal contender
