Shameela’s Credentials

Shameela is the financial services and insurance lead for CyberCX.  With twelve years of industry experience Shameela has provided strategic advice to senior security leaders in one of Australia’s largest banking institutions.

Prior to joining CyberCX, Shameela worked at Commonwealth Bank across a variety of technology roles and more recently was the Technology lead for a large-scale regulatory program focused on uplifting risk management and technology across CBA.

For three years as the Executive Advisor to the CISO, and then also to the Chief Security Officer, Shameela led development for the cyber security strategy, operating model, owned regulatory and board reporting and advisory. As a leader, her team also ran CBA’s cyber regulatory engagement, cyber education program, as well as outreach to customers and community.

In her role at CyberCX, Shameela leads the engagement company-wide for local and global banks, insurers and the full spectrum of financial services.
