Biography

As one of the leading advocates for social change, Anyier Yuol deeply understands the uneven social landscape that haunts society. Born in a refugee camp in Kenya, Anyier lost her parents as a child before moving to Australia at just 10 years old. Because of this, Anyier found comfort and protection from the many women around her, giving her the strength and survival skills needed to endure the challenges she would later face.

Anyier is a strong advocate for empowering women to tell their own stories. She shares her story of resilience, encouraging others to feel inspired and determined, even in the face of adversity.

As a global keynote speaker, Anyier leverages her personal experiences and expertise to collaborate with individuals who hold leadership positions across various sectors and industries to foster connections and collaborations that have a significant and positive impact. Anyier supports leaders in rethinking and redesigning how their companies or organisations function. She focuses on making advancements in embracing differences and fairness and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and included.

Described as warm, charismatic and fiercely engaging, Anyier invites audiences to walk in her shoes as she uncovers the emotional and intellectual threads from her journey in a refugee camp to her Ph.D., modelling agency and advocacy work.

A testament to her dedication, Anyier was recently awarded the prestigious SBS & Australia for UNHCR Les Murray 2023 Award for Refugee Recognition. Her prominence extends to diverse media platforms, including print, radio, and television. She graced the ABC Daily Wrap with Tracey Holmen during the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. She was prominently featured in the September 2023 issue of Marie Claire for her remarkable work through the Miss Sahara program.
