Biography
Ben Pronk considers himself a pretty happy guy. Born into a stable family in an amazing country, and blessed with a good upbringing and education, he spent 24 years in the Australian Army, the majority of which was in the Special Air Service Regiment (SAS).
During this time, he saw operational service in Timor Leste, Iraq and Afghanistan, where he was awarded a Distinguished Service Cross (DSC) for leadership in combat, before finishing his military service as the Commanding Officer of the SAS.
He then started a premium consultancy providing leadership and crisis management solutions to clients globally and became Adjunct Faculty at the Australian Graduate School of Management, where he delivers a range of leadership programs, including within Australia’s top-ranked MBA program.
In 2021, he co-authored the bestselling book ‘The Resilience Shield’, which has allowed him to travel the world to help an incredibly diverse range of audiences understand and improve their resilience.
And on top of all of that, he has somehow managed to find and keep my amazing wife, with whom he is raising two brilliant children.
