Biography

Nicki Hutley is one of Australia’s leading economists. Over her career, she has worked in financial and investment markets as well as economic policy. She is particularly interested in the intersection of economy, society and environment.

In addition to her consulting practice, Nicki is Chief Economic Adviser to the Customer-Owned Banking Association, a Councillor on the Climate Council, and a member of the JANA Investments Sustainability Advisory Committee.

Nicki is also a frequent commentator across the media and is a regular guest on The Drum and The Project.

Nicki is also a highly sought-after keynote speaker on long- and short-term economic issues.
