New Zealand rugby league legend Benji Marshall has urged the New Zealand Warriors

Benji Marshall has urged New Zealand Warriors to embrace a new style of football and hire the ‘Walker Brothers’ as the clubs new head coaches.

Currently languishing near the bottom of the NRL ladder and on the lookout for a new coach after the mid-season departure of Nathan Brown, Marshall believes the unique attacking style developed by brothers Ben and Shane Walker is what the club needs to rejuvenate.

The ‘Walker Brothers’ guided Queensland Cup side Ipswich to premiership success in 2015 with their unique, ad-lib attack. The side then went on to win the national championship on NRL grand final day.

The former New Zealand test captain never played for the Warriors in the NRL, but says he desperately wants to see the sport succeed in his country. Key to that is a successful Warriors team.

To hear Benji’s comments on this, and much more, listen in to this weeks episode of ‘The Game with Benji Marshall’ thanks to Brydens Lawyers.
